The Lonely Bonsai

I planted a seed, one lonely seed.
I nurtured it, fed it accordingly.
Frustrated at the pace of when one would blossom.
Worried that if no results show, It would be forgotten.
But then, I found patience.
The frustrations then placed themselves vacant.
Oh, Lonely Bonsai Tree.
I see you growing tremendously.
When you’ve reached your climax,
You’ll be a sight to gawk at.
Your exotic branches, and lovely curves.
They will be a sure reason for others to spread positive words.
Always remember your humble roots.
You were just a little lonely Bonsai tree, that is true.
Hi everyone, I hope you enjoyed my poem. I’ve been tackling poetry for a mere week now, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience of expressing words in poetry form. I haven’t been on Medium for very long, but so far your positive words have been inspiring and has encouraged me to stick with it.
What would you interpret this poem to be a metaphor for? I’ll be curious to see what The Lonely Bonsai means to you.
